Artist
statement
Being born into a family of 7 and having 4 brothers, connecting to a feminine energy has always been important to me. In the beginning it was just my mom and I, however now I have a plethora of strong women in my circle. Throughout the years I have found these bonds, and appreciate every single conversation where we try to figure how to navigate through this contemporary world. leaving me to feel stronger and more empowered as more amazing women enter my life. I wanted to create a world within my art where the women in my life can depict what girlhood is like in the 21st century. Recalling to all the women before us, drawing similarities and differences in every painting. Helping myself and others feel an even greater sense of how tethered we are to each other.
